From the reviews I've read, it's missing a few features (I don't remember which at the moment) so I wouldn't do to much of a comparison between the Windows and Mac versions of Outlook. Realize that this is a ground up rewrite of Outlook. I find that is the best program I have ever used, at least far fewer issues than Entourage! Remember, you need the more expensive Office Home &

Thanks for your reply.how would I obtain a copy of Outlook for Mac? Can I download it? (IMHO, it's still a better choice even if you have to copy your Entourage calendar and contacts to iCal and Addressbook. But if the only thing you use Entourage for is email, then just switching to the built-in Mail is a better choice. I'm told it has nearly all the functionality of Outlook for Windows and is significantly better and more stable than Entourage. (Entourage was supposed to replace Outlook, but we can see how well that went.

If you must have the full organizer functionality of Entourage, Microsoft finally released Outlook for Mac again. Me personally, I just manually create and reply to appointment requests rather than deal with Entourage. The only thing that you "need" Entourage for is things like accepting appointments sent from Outlook, particularly if your mail is Exchange based. (The included Mail, iCal and Addressbook all connect to Exchange servers so for basic things, they are quite sufficient.
But ever since Mail could connect to Exchange servers, that's all I use now. On my previous Macs, I would have to use the old Outlook 98, then later just Outlook Web Access to get to my company's Exchange server. It can get POP3, IMAP and Exchange 2007 based email. As stated, Mail, which is included with your Mac is quite stable.
